Tonic for Thames Valley
Property Week
January 2007
The Thames Valley is about to have its biggest letting at PRUPIM's GreenPark since the record-breaking Cisco Systems deal in 2001.
Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, the New Jersey-based company, is to relocate its UK headquarters from Taplow near Maidenhead to GreenPark in Reading. The letting is expected to be followed by a flurry of prelets in the Thames as large, available premises become scare and more office requirements are registered with agents.
Yell, healthcare IT services provider Cerner, Kia Motors and Hyundai are all believed to be evaluating moves.
Wyeth is lining up a 100,000 sq.ft (9,290 sq m) prelet at GreenPark. It occupies about 60,000 sq.ft (5,574 sq m) in Taplow.
King Struge is advising Wyeth; Campbell Gordon and Knight Frank advise PRUPIM.
