Variety is the spice of life in Reading
Thames Vally Commercial Property Register
February 2008
It is the broad sweep of the lettings which is encouraging for the Thames Valley, exemplified in Reading by four town centre deals.
Avocent Corporation and Systmatix have both moved into Davidson House in the last available suites on the 1st floor while Hazell Carr has crossed the road from its existing building into 27 Kings Road where it has taken 1,344 sq.metres (14,460 sq.ft.)
A smaller office in the adjacent property has been let to Galliford Try. These are the sort of deals that sustain a town during booms and recessions and provide the base for the market.
A similar arguement can be advanced for Worton Grange where a local clinical recruitment company, Synexus, has taken space at Wellington House to help its expansion while Entec, an environmental and engineering consultancy, has also doubled the size of its space at Pacific House. Both these deals were arranged by Campbell Gordon and King Sturge. Chris Barrs of Campbell Gordon commented: "The Greater Reading market is improving because local companies are expanding again."
