Topland has signed two tenants at its recently acquired Reading Bridge House.  OneSelect Energy has located to the building’s 7th floor, taking 5,920 sq.ft on a five year lease at £27.50 per sq.ft.  Group BC will be on part of the 9th floor taking 4,419 sq.ft at a new record rent for the building of £28 per sq.ft.  Group BC has taken a 10 year lease.

Two consultancies were contesting this award, and both were hoping for one answer to make them smile.

Campbell Gordon – a submission encapsulating the firm’s great work since 2013 in defining and implementing a successful property strategy for Bracknell & Wokingham College.

Vail Williams – a submission highlighting dependable client service for St John Ambulance over nearly 20 years and involving scores of properties.

Colin Allan, managing director for Morgan Lovell, once again presented the winner’s award.

CBRE has rebounded to the top of the Western Corridor office league table. Amid falling take-up and deals, it doubled both its disposals, to 711,000 sq ft, and deal numbers, to 44, to storm over 250,000 sq ft clear at the top. Unlike previous years, a town centre deal was the largest overall.

M&G/Bell Hammer launch in Reading

M&G and Bell Hammer have formally brought to market for lease the latest phases of their Forbury Place development, a circa 600,000 sq ft urban estate being part speculatively developed in the centre of Reading. The current quoting rent of £37.50 per sq ft will be seen as further evidence of rebounding office space prices in key UK centres.
