Campbell Gordon moves to the top at Reading Bridge House

Property consultancy Campbell Gordon has left its home of 40 years and moved into one of the buildings it markets.

The agent has been in or next to its former home at 50 Queens Road, Reading since it launched 40 years ago but has now taken space at the ninth floor of Reading Bridge House.

Director, Keith Wise has been with the firm for much of that period. He said: “Having worked on Queens Road for some 29 years, this move was not taken lightly. But there have been so many exciting changes in the Thames Valley market during this period, we knew there was a great chance for us to take advantage of these changes and practise what we preach.”

Fellow director Duncan Campbell said: “This is the latest in a number of changes we have made to the business, all of which have been carefully designed to ensure we continue to provide the very best analysis, advice and services to our clients.

“We hope this will enable us to be one of the very best, market leading, independent firms for at least another 40 years.”

Steve Pope from Berkeley Estates, managing agents for owners VC3, said: “The building is now 85 per cent let, following recent lettings to Blue Array, Ascot Lloyd and Campbell Gordon.

These transactions follow an overhaul of the reception/entrance arrangements and an upgrade of the cafe which is operated by local artisan coffee specialist, Lincoln Coffee House.”

Although Campbell Gordon goes back to the 1970s, a management buyout of the firm was completed in 2015 by Duncan Campbell and Keith Wise.
