The Challenge

HR Wallingford own 70 acres of land in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. They recognised they had an opportunity to support the operational needs of the organisation by creating and extracting value from this asset. However they were not sure of the best way to approach this task.

The Solution

Campbell Gordon were appointed to address this challenge. They carried out comprehensive strategic review jointly with HR Wallingford. This included analysis of the potential land uses and values that could be created. It also addressed the challenges that needed to be met in order to achieve the objectives, with recommendations on the strategy and tactics to be employed.

The Result

HR Wallingford adopted Campbell Gordon's recommendations. This included obtaining planning consent for office development. Campbell Gordon then identified the Environment Agency as a tenant, and negotiated an office pre-let, creating a valuable long term investment.
