Expansion for US software firm in Reading

US software firm Point of Rental Software has almost doubled its space in a move across Reading.

The business has left a 3,875 sq ft suite at Napier Court and taken 7,200 sq ft at refurbished Imperium in Imperial Way, in a deal arranged, on behalf of the occupier, by Campbell Gordon.

Rob Marson, director for Campbell Gordon, said: “We are delighted to have secured this high-quality space on competitive commercial terms for the business.

“Point of Rental are part of a growing group of occupiers we are advising who are now reversing the trend of hybrid working induced office downsizing.

“We are seeing increasing numbers of successful businesses expanding their footprints once again. It will be very interesting to see how strongly this trend grows as the benefits of working together again become ever more present in uncertain times, but we shall see.”

Mark Goodrum, managing director for Point of Rental Software, said: “Campbell Gordon did an excellent job for us as they conducted a comprehensive search of the market and secured the best terms on our behalf. We ultimately selected Imperium as it met all our needs in particular on location, quality and commercial terms.”

Archie Chitty, surveyor for Lambert Smith Hampton, which, along with Knight Frank, acts for landlord UBS Asset Management, said the deal is the latest of four completed at Imperium this year.

He added: “All new tenants are growing into the building in sustainable and affordable upgrades from their previous offices. We look forward to continued success on the remaining space.”
